Man Sentenced To Seven Years in Fort McMurray Homicide

One man is being sentenced to seven years in prison after the death of a Fort McMurray man in 2018.

Jared Lee White pled guilty to manslaughter on Wednesday after first being charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of 38-year-old Ashley Chisholm.

Back in February 2018, Wood Buffalo RCMP found Chisholm’s body in a Eagle Ridge Home.

An autopsy by the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton determined his death to be a homicide.

Shortly after, a Canada wide warrant was issued for White.

White’s sentence also includes time served which has been just over 500 days.
