A heat warning is in effect for the RMWB and surrounding areas.

Environment Canada says we’ll be seeing temperatures hit the 30s over the next four days – with the daytime high for Sunday at 29 degrees – but feeling more like 31.

You’re advised to schedule outdoor activities during cooler hours of the day, take frequent breaks from the heat and drink lots of water.

It’s also vital you do not leave any pet or person in a closed vehicle for any amount of time.

The weather agency notes it’s not expected to cool down until Thursday – with rain expected and a brisk high of 19 degrees.
