A 24-year-old man is facing multiple firearm related charges.

On Friday, Fort Chipewyan RCMP were called to a home around Allison Bay in the rural hamlet.

Due to the nature of the call, police set up a containment area and searched the residence.

The man was arrested after the search and has since been charged with unsafe storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless use of a firearm, and failure to comply with conditions.

He has since been released on a recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Alberta Provincial Court in Fort Chipewyan on December 5.
