Multiple researchers are coming to Fort McMurray to discuss the Horse River wildfire.
Seven research teams were received funds shortly after the 2016 fire by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research to look into the impact, cause, and recovery.
They include multiple teams from the University of Alberta, the McMurray Métis Local 1935, and the Fort McMurray #468 First Nation.
Principal investigators from each of the teams will be on hand for a Knowledge Exchange Forum to share their research with the community and each other.
The Forum will include multiple roundtable discussions.
It will be held at Shell Place on November 8 and 9. Three roundtable discussions have been scheduled for the first day.
