The housing market is kicking off 2020 with a bang.
That’s according to the Fort McMurray REALTORS® January report, which showed 51 properties sold last month, compared to 27 in 2019.
The average price for a single-family home is down slightly from January of last year, sitting at $506,607 but is up from last month’s $451,714.
That’s a 4.7 per cent decrease from the year prior.
Currently, there are 230 homes listed on the market which is down from last year’s 278.
The REALTORS® note that single-family home sales were the strongest they’ve been since last Spring.
Inventory in this sector is very low with reports of multiple offers and the REALTORS® encourage you to contact them about getting your home ready for the Spring market.
