Wood Buffalo RCMP made an arrest in a shooting that took place on the Chipewyan Prairie First Nation. 

Officers responded to the scene just after midnight Wednesday morning after a complaint of a man shooting a firearm towards a home on the First Nation. 

Police Dog Services and the RCMP Emergency Response Team assisted with the arrest of the suspect, which took place just before 6:00 AM.

The 54-year-old suspect cannot be named at this time until Information is Sworn. He remains in police custody at this time.
