No Injuries After Bus Hit By Lightning

No injuries were reported after a bizarre act of nature occurred when lightning struck a charter bus near Wandering River yesterday evening.

The bus, operated by Diversified Transportation, was full of children and parents returning from an out-of-town sporting event.

The lightning strike caused the bus, which was traveling northbound on Highway 63, to simultaneously blow out both of its front steer tires. The driver skillfully maneuvered the bus to safety, resulting in no injuries to anyone on board.

The sports team was then transferred to another bus that was also returning to Fort McMurray.
