The Northeastern Alberta Aboriginal Business Association (NAABA) is bringing in a renowned speaker for their upcoming Annual General Meeting.
Dr. Ken Coates will be the organization’s guest and keynote speaker for their September 19th meeting at Shell Place. Dr. Coates is one of Canada’s foremost authorities on the challenges and opportunities facing the nation. His work as a historian has focused on the Canadian North and Aboriginal Rights.
Dr. Coates is a professor and Canada Research Chair in Regional Innovation, at Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy, and Director, of the International Centre for Northern Governance and Development at the University of Saskatchewan.
NAABA Board Chair, Sandy Sanderson says his organization is honoured to host Dr. Coates.
“His extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of Indigenous rights and economic development will provide invaluable insights to our members,” said Sanderson.
