Just like when you’re a kid, I’ve been re-learning that life lessons suck and are usually boring. Lately, I’ve gotten really into a new hobby: making my house a little nicer by investing in my lawn.

Not sure why, but now my day-to-day happiness doesn’t rely on what I’m doing after work, who I’m hanging out with, or how many drinks we’re having on the weekend. Instead, it’s completely dependent on how green the grass is in my tiny backyard and if any new blades have sprouted…

So, back to the life lessons we all hate: I’ve learned that growing up isn’t all it was made out to be when we were kids. It just makes us more and more boring!
