Even though Halloween is still basically three months away, there’s already some scary news out there—and not the fun, spooky kind. Hershey’s CEO has announced that they’re bracing for a candy shortage! With a number of ingredients getting more expensive, we could see this issue spreading to other candy companies as well.

There have been some heartbreaking moments in life, like being told I was too old to trick-or-treat, but nothing might be worse than facing the prospect of giving out apples or pennies instead of candy. Unfortunately, that might be all we’re able to hand out this year!
