Breakups can be tough, right? For anyone who’s been through one, you know how they can flip your world upside down. Now, I haven’t had to go through one myself, but somehow, I’m still feeling the aftermath of a friend’s breakup—and let me tell you, it’s rough!

An old work friend recently split from her boyfriend, and guess who’s been asked to step in? Me, in the weirdest ways possible. Last night, I got a frantic call to come over and deal with those annoying orange and black bugs (boxelder bugs I think??) that show up every fall. Yeah, apparently, I’m now her personal exterminator.

Spoiler alert: I have zero pest control experience. But she’s terrified of bugs and, with no one else around to handle it, I’m her go-to guy.

I’d love to say it feels cool being the “man of the house” in two different houses… But in reality, it’s just added chores on my to-do list!
