Snow Angels Program Launched to Assist Residents This Winter

RMWB Launches Snow Angels Volunteer Program for Winter 2024-2025

FORT MCMURRAY, Alberta— The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) is seeking volunteers for its Snow Angels program. The campaign pairs community members with volunteers to clear driveways and sidewalks for residents who cannot do so due to age, mobility issues, or health concerns. Snow Angels fly in after a snowfall and clear a path, helping ensure safe, accessible walkways for those in need.

The RMWB encourages individuals, student groups, businesses, sports teams, and nonprofits to participate. Volunteers who register at rmwb.ca/SnowAngels will be automatically entered to win a two-stage, 24-inch, gas snowblower with electric start, valued at $1,000. Participants will also be honoured at an appreciation dinner scheduled for spring 2025.

For more information, contact Pulse at 780-743-7000, toll-free at 1-800-973-9663, or online at rmwb.ca/pulse.
