Downtown fire draws Regional Emergency Services to the same place twice

Regional Emergency Services had to attend to multiple fires at the same home in downtown Fort McMurray Thursday morning.

Crews were called to the scene at about 1:00 AM and worked on a fire found in the basement of a house on Bell Crescent. After several hours of battling the blaze, crews were called back to the same house just after 6 AM, as the fire had reignited in the attic of the structure.

Crews continued to work on the blaze throughout the morning. Fortunately, the home residents were able to evacuate safely, and no one was injured in the incident.
