Fort McMurray Parents Turn Bedtime Tales into Published Book, Mr. Keeper’s Assistant

Fort McMurray Parents Release First Children’s Book

FORT MCMURRAY —A pair of Fort McMurray authors are celebrating the release of their first children’s book.

Mr. Keeper’s Assistant, The Mystery at the Zoo written by Brad and Shannon Sherk hit the bookstands on December 1st. The story follows the whimsical investigation of a theft at the zoo where a child detective aims to use her knowledge of animals to solve the caper.

The authors say the story was born from made-up bedtime tales they told to their children. Mr. Keeper’s Assistant is a refined version of one of their children’s favourite stories which their kids would often request. Illustrated by Mauro Lirussi, the book is available on Amazon and at Coles downtown.

The Sherks say they have a few other ideas for stories and have more books in mind as they plan to continue their writing.
