Mac Island’s Craze Returns for New Year’s Eve Celebration

FORT MCMURRAY, Alta. — The Regional Recreation Corporation (RRC) is hosting The Craze once again. This annual free New Year’s Eve festival, featuring family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and a fireworks display will take place on Dec. 31 at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre and Shell Place. Activities run from noon to 5 p.m., culminating in a fireworks show at 5:30 p.m.

Entertainment highlights include a character live show, a dance party, and a magic performance by Donovan Day, all on the Play 103.7 and 100.5 Cruz FM Main Stage.

The well-loved Fireworks show will launch from the Miskanaw Golf Vourse. RRC recommends the MacDonald Island parking lot facing the golf course for the best views. For those unable to attend in person, the display will also be live-streamed online.
