A Fort McMurray resident is $100,000 richer thanks to a big lottery win. 

Shashi Singh checked her lottery tickets from the December 28 draw and discovered she had won $100,000 on the EXTRA draw while on her lunch break. 

In a news release from Western Canada Lottery, Singh says she always gets lotto tickets when she stops for gas, adding her co-workers were very excited for her when they found out she won. 

Singh says she has some ideas about how to use the winnings, including buying a house for her daughters.
