18 people have been injured, with 3 critically injured (including a child), after a Delta Air Lines flight from Minneapolis to Toronto crashed and flipped over at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday, just before 3pm local time.

The Bombardier CRJ900 had 76 passengers and 4 crew members who, thankfully, were all accounted for after the crash. Of the 76 passengers, 22 were Canadian.

Passengers reported being left hanging upside down as aviation fuel streamed down the windows when their plane overturned during landing in Toronto.

The airport was working to recover from the weekend’s snowfall, which had dropped 22cm and led to numerous delays and cancellations.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but passengers said the crash happened within seconds.
