Wood Buffalo RCMP arrested a Fort McMurray Resident early Sunday morning after an alleged confrontation with a local taxi driver. Just after 1:30 a.m., Mounties responded to a report of a passenger who had physically assaulted and threatened the driver. When officers arrived at the scene, the taxi had stopped in the neighborhood of Timberlea, where the suspect was taken into police custody without further incident. The Fort McMurray man has since been released and will appear in court on April 2nd to face charges of assault, and uttering threats.
