Spring Load Limits Take Effect on Gravel Roads in RMWB
FORT MCMURRAY, AB –The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is implementing spring load limits on municipal gravel roads starting Friday, April 4. Vehicles traveling on these roads must not exceed 75 per cent of their gross vehicle weight.
The restrictions apply to West Road in Conklin, Stoney Mountain Crossover, Stoney Mountain Road south of town, Tower Road in Fort McMurray, Aostra Road west of Suncor off Highway 63, and True North Road.
The RMWB warns that additional safety measures, such as reduced axle weights, may be in effect due to seasonal conditions. Motorists are urged to follow all posted signage and drive according to road conditions.
