As much as I roll my eyes at all these special national days, I do have to admit I’m a little sad we missed National Coffee Day here in Canada over the weekend. Why? Well, because Tim Hortons—our unofficial national coffee hotspot—revealed the top coffee orders across the country, and the results were… interesting.

Sure, the usual suspects made the list: the classic double-double, the iced capp, and even the occasional latte. But the most popular coffee order in Canada? Black. Just plain, no-sugar, no-cream, black coffee.

Now, here’s where it gets a little spooky. Apparently, people who prefer black coffee are more likely to exhibit psychopathic traits! No joke, an actual scientific study backs this up. So, next time you’re sitting in Tim’s and see someone sipping their black coffee with a straight face, well… good luck to you.
