According to travel agency CheapAir, the best time to head out for Christmas to avoid sky-high prices is no later than December 18th. Sure, you might save some money, but spending a whole week out from Christmas with family?!?

I mean, I haven’t even hit the point where I’ve given up on work and started adding Bailey’s to my coffee by then!

And as for a whole week back home—just picture it: seven days of running into old high school classmates or hearing that one story from your grandparents for the 20th time. Staying put for Christmas is starting to sound a lot better.
