The Accused in a fatal crash, was prohibited from driving for medical reasons

There is new information about a fatal crash in Fort McMurray on Saturday.

The driver was medically prohibited from driving, according to a court document obtained and verified by the Canadian Press.

On Saturday morning a Ford F350 pick up slammed into a downtown restaurant at MacDonald Avenue and Richard Street.

A 24 year old employee inside the restaurant was seriously injured, and died a short time later.

28 year old Roger Sierra of Calgary was arrested and charged with criminal negligence causing death.

He is expected in court in Fort McMurray next month.

A GoFundMe page to help the victim’s family has raised over $65,000.
