RMWB Seeks Non-Profits to Help at WinterPlay Festival

With WinterPlay just around the corner, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) is seeking local charities and non-profit groups interested in lending a hand during the festival in exchange for funding.

Scheduled to take place from February 21 to 25 in Fort McMurray, WinterPlay will feature ice slides, sculptures, horse-drawn carriage rides, and a bonfire. To ensure the event runs smoothly, the RMWB is seeking volunteers to supervise attractions, assist with waste collection, and monitor activities.

Participating groups will receive a $500 honorarium per shift to support their organization. Applications must be submitted through the RMWB website by February 10.
