If you were ever a fan of Harriet The Spy, Buffy The vampire Slayer, Gossip Girl or Euro Trip, then you most definitely know who Michelle Trachtenberg is.

On Wednesday, February 26th, just after 8am, Michelle was found dead at her home in Manhattan Beach at 39 years old. It’s being said that she recently underwent a liver transplant, which may have led to complications. Trachtenberg had never made any comments about her health condition publicly, but she had taken to Instagram in January 2024 to let her fans know that she was happy and healthy.

Police are saying there was ‘no criminality suspected’, and the investigation is ongoing.

Trachtenberg began her career in commercials before securing roles on Nickelodeon’s The Adventures of Pete & Pete and All My Children at the age of 9 in 1993. She later starred in Harriet the Spy in 1996, and then played Dawn Summers, Buffy’s younger sister, in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

From 2008 to 2012, Trachtenberg played the recurring role of Georgina Sparks on the hit series Gossip Girl. She reprised the character in 2023 for two episodes of the Max reboot, marking her last appearance on screen.
