You can cast your ballot this week for the next Member of Parliament for Fort McMurray-Cold Lake.
Advanced Polls will be open on Friday and will run until Monday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Elections Canada Spokesperson Leanne Nyirsa tells Mix News, unlike the provincial election, you must vote at your assigned location.
“For the advanced polls, and on election day, you must go to the polling station associated with your address located on your voter information card.”
If you don’t receive your voter card, or you find a mistake, you can contact Elections Canada to receive a replacement.
Nyirsa adds these cards won’t be enough to vote.
“You can use the voter information card as one piece of identification but you will need to bring along another piece of ID that has your name on it as well.”
On the ballot for Fort McMurray-Cold Lake is incumbent David Yurdiga, Liberal candidate Maggie Farrington, Matthew Barrett with the People’s Party of Canada, Matthew Gilks of the NDP, and the Green Party’s Brian Deheer.
Election Day is on October 21.
