Less homes were sold in September compared to last year.

The Fort McMurray REALTORS® latest report shows 49 properties were sold last month versus the 53 in 2018.

The average price also saw a notable drop averaging $549,828 compared to the $585,558 last September.

Meanwhile, the price is up from August where 51 properties averaged $500,397.

The Realtors note the dip in home sales didn’t tell the entire story for the market.

“We saw a slight increase in the number of apartment, duplex, and townhome sales,” the report read.

There are currently more properties on the market right now then August – sitting at 359.
