The provincial Minister of Finance is making stop in Fort McMurray next week.
Travis Toews is being invited by the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce to come up and speak about the United Conservative Party’s first budget.
The GoA released their budget last week highlighting a cut in spending by 2.8 per cent over the next four years.
In a statement, Mayor Don Scott says there are some concerns, specifically, with the lack of funding for Wood Buffalo and infrastructure projects.
The Chamber is hosting a networking breakfast where Toews will discuss the budget and take time to answer questions from the public.
It’s being held at the Quality Inn and Conference Centre on November 6 from 8 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
People can register for the event by visiting the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce’s website.
