The deadline to file a concern with a proposed project around Conklin is being extended.
Harvest Operations Corp is applying to the Alberta Energy Regulator to conduct an oilsands exploration program southeast of the rural hamlet.
If approved, the oil company would drill four oilsands evaluation wells, three of which containing hydrogen sulphide.
The public can file a statement of concern until November 27, 2019, at 4 p.m.
Meanwhile, Harvest currently has their BlackGold SAGD oilsands project in the Conklin area.
The project re-started construction in 2017 after they suspended work due to falling oil prices.
BlackGold currently produces around 10,000 barrels of oil per day.
