Rogers Hometown Hockey is bringing with it a weekend full of festivities in Fort McMurray.
The event will feature multiple hockey-themed activities at MacDonald Island Park including a community hockey rink, a kids fun zone, and more.
Hosts Ron MacLean and Tara Slone will be on hand for the event as they prepare for a live broadcast ahead of Sunday’s game between the Edmonton Oilers and Arizona Coyotes.
Former Oiler Glenn Anderson and Fort McMurray-raised Chris Phillips will also be in attendance where they’ll meet with fans before taking part in the broadcast.
The broadcast will include a feature of former Fort McMurray Oil Baron Colton Parayko, diving into how the former AJHL walk-on was able to become a Stanley Cup Champion.
The festivities get underway on Saturday, November 23 at 12 p.m. with the live show starting at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
