A multi-vehicle collision on Highway 63 is being investigated by Wood Buffalo RCMP.
On Friday evening, around 6:20 p.m., police received reports of semi-tractors stuck in the ditch and blocking the southbound lanes of the highway at kilometre 165.
Around the same time, a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-tractor and a car were reported at the same location.
The Mounties note freezing rain had made for slippery, icy roads.
Police closed off the southbound lane of the highway in an attempt to clear the vehicles blocking the road and southbound traffic was diverted to highway 881.
More updates will be provided when they are available.
