The Fort McMurray Urban Market will now be a year-round event.
The municipality announced on Thursday they’ve transitioned the event to Liam, a long-time local business.
Feedback from residents has shown there has been plenty of interest in having the market continue year-round with an indoor option.
Liam now plans on holding it bi-weekly throughout the year, being held at the old Alberta Motor Products building on Franklin Avenue.
Previously, it was only held every two weeks at Jubilee Plaza during the summer.
They will be re-launching the market for its first official Christmas event from December 14-15.
