The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams were quite busy last year.
ALERT teams across the province, including in Fort McMurray, laid over 1,400 charges against 241 suspects.
“It’s a fast-paced, ever-changing landscape, but our front-line investigators and support staff behind the scenes do exceptional work to keep up and deliver the results Albertans expect,” said ALERT CEO Supt. Dwayne Lakusta, in a release.
One of the organization’s biggest highlights of the year was the arrest of 15 suspected drug dealers in Fort McMurray back in February.
The three-month investigation resulted in the seizure of multiple drugs, weapons, and cash. They were estimated to be worth around $29,000.
