I have a theory about gas.
Last week I accidentally filled my car up with premium. It was cold, I was sleepy. Don’t judge me!
Now, I have a very beaten up 2004 Oldsmobile Alero, which DOES NOT need premium gas.
There’s a lot wrong with my car but the main problems stem from the heat not working to being notorious for it’s crazy fast gas usage.
Now comes the crazy part, since I put premium in, not only has my car been seemingly running smoother.
The heat works more than 50% of the time now!
AND, I have not had to fill up since April 2nd!
So my theory is that they are doing something to the regular gas to make it not as “gassy.”
What is it that they’re doing exactly? Not a clue.
Have I found any evidence supporting this claim besides my one time experience? No.
Have I found evidence disproving my my theory? Yes. Tons. That is in fact the only thing out there regarding this theory.
Am I beginning to talk myself out of this theory with the more questions I ask? Yes, yes I am.
I still think there has to be some merit to what I’m saying but I don’t have the wallet to continue to buy premium on an assumption.
