Most property owners in RMWB will be seeing a property tax increase this year. 

RMWB Council approved the 2024 Property Tax Rate Bylaw, which will lead to an increase for most, but some property owners may see a reduction in taxes owed depending on their assessed property value. 

In a statement, the RM says this Bylaw allows the municipality to maintain the lowest tax rates in Alberta, and RMWB will collect the same amount of municipal tax dollars as last year, just over $460 million.

Tax notices will be sent in the mail by the end of May. Residents are advised to watch for those notices, as the deadline for property tax payment is June 28th.
