Remember when every iPhone update was eagerly awaited because it meant new emojis? Ah, those were the days! We’d all gather around and marvel at the latest additions, wondering how we survived so long without a hockey stick, a dinosaur, or the ever-essential middle finger emoji.

Fast forward to now, and it seems like Apple is planning to axe some of the lesser-used emojis to celebrate National Emoji Day. So, here’s the question: if you could permanently delete any emoji, which ones would get the boot?

For me, it’s a no-brainer. Let’s say goodbye to the eggplant emoji. It’s never used for its intended purpose, and honestly, the world can do without that particular form of “expression”.
